Possibly the Thorns damage could be buffed via synergy from redemption and/or holy bolt to promote healing. From an implementation standpoint, maybe your last aura stays active when you switch to Thorns. Maybe when you hit 10+ thorns you gain the ability to use a second aura simultaneously, opening up a niche for a support paladin (i.e., you run into the fray with your party soaking hits and dealing Thorns damage while buffing with fanaticism, conviction, or other aura). You might want the increased Thorns damage to only apply to the player (teammates just get the normal aura effect). The build would focus on defense (holy shield/defiance synergy, and defensive gear) and kill enemies by running into packs. If Thorns damage was much higher and triggered even on dodges and blocks, I could see it being much more useful. ![]() Has any thought been given to making Thorns a viable build?
